1st Annual Kunta's Groove Sessions || LIVE @ Southside Music Hall Dallas, TX 10.29.15

What began as a disappointment turned into a beautiful spirit lifting event. 

Kendrick Lamar is officially my Favorite Rapper, so when I heard the news of Kunta's Groove Sessions I knew I had to grab tickets. Unfortunately, the Lincoln Theatre tickets sold out in seconds. What I did next surprised everybody who knew; who would've thought on accident, I was successfully able to obtain a VIP ticket....only issue was, that I found out after purchasing my nonrefundable/ nontransferable ticket was that the show was in Dallas.

I'm not no stranger to Dallas, I LOVE the Cowboyz, I've visited before and love the laidback, slowed down atmosphere. I got on my shit, ordered my room/flight, bypassed a rental car and decided on Lyft. I needed this vacation anyway...

It had to be no-one but God to have a What-a-Burger outside my hotel, so know that was my first stop. upon arrival.

Because this was last min and I didn't want to BLOW my funds on a rental car, I opted to utilize Lyft, which I HIGHLY recommend. The driver's were so sweet, I even found out that 2 of the 3 I rode with were from the DMV Area (one of them was fine as fuck, A very good driver =) ). The line's were down about 6 blocks, but of course with VIP I walked right in and got to early merch. shop.

Jay Rock opened up the show, the crowd was engaged but I admit I was getting my indulgence in and really didn't get much video. What I did notice was that he didn't do my song, All My Life, BUT my man did his thing. I didn't realize how much of a looker he was until I up close and could see him. I only caught "Hood Gone Love It".

After the usual intermission, came the illest Intro I've ever heard from a rapper: Kendrick came out to EW&F "Can't Hide Love", LIVE. I damn near dropped my drank on my friend busting out in a sway lol. He welcomed us and began with "For Free?". Tryna conserve battery and also ENJOY the show, I only captured bits and pieces. 

Then came the intro for well.....

"Fuck It!, We gon have it their way tonite" =)

The last 2 vids are massively HYPE. I'm surprised I got as much footage as I did.

But wait...There's more. IDK How K. Dot thought we would let him get away without doing OUR song.

A++++++++ for Crowd Participation

All in All, I sincerely enjoyed myself. Kendrick give us a piece of him that I will forever hold dear to my heart. I will always try my hardest to see him again, he's just that damn good of a performer.
Apart of my VIP Package included the below: an AUTOGRAPHED Vinyl of "To Pimp a Butterfly", 1 Kendrick and 1 Jay Rock T-Shirt and a poster; I plan on framing most of it to save it for my babies.

Dallas, I Love U! even tho my team is on my last nerve and killing my blood pressure.
