Although I've yet to actually go to a Dominican Salon to get my hair done, I have tried out a product that was recommended to me by a friend. Silicon Mix 

Admittedly, the ingredients in the shampoo and conditioner didn't suit my fancy right away; I'm trying to stay away from Mineral Oil, but I went ahead against the notion and decided "Why Not?" Boy am I happy I did. 

I've used Silicon Mix for a little over a year now and have found it to be a standing staple in my hair care regimen. Right now, I use the Avanti Brand Silicon Mix Shampoo and Hair Treatment. There's other types such as Silicon Mix Bambu Nutritive Hair Combo Set . 

I alternate between other shampoo's and conditioners but at least once a month I try to get my silicon mix in. it softens my hair and coats it with silicon's necessary to ensure my hair is beautiful. I Absolutely Love This Stuff.
