My Bday Celebration June 1st-3rd 2012 (PICS &Commentary)

Like a Phoenix arose from the ashes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well not really, I’M BACK (momentarily) Taking a break from studying, writing essays, and all that good school stuff to update you guys on ME. This past weekend June 1^st thru 3^rd was my 24^th Birthday Celebration weekend.

If you were in the DMV Area on that Friday, then you already know about the crazy weather we had. Rain, Tornado warnings/watches, and even Hail- it was pandemonium in the streets. But I, being as determined as ever, I wanted to continue with my original plans. Which was to chill at one of my favorite spots, Ozio’s Cigar Bar and Lounge located on M street in NW,DC. It’s been about 2 years since I went last and I had heard about some remodeling and roof-top additions that I wanted to take in. known for it’s great happy hour and $5 house martini’s I was gunning. BUT as fate would have it, one of my friends who was going with me got stuck on the metro and I ended up chilling solo in the park. I had a nice long talk with myself and thought about quite a few things on my mind, made some decisions too (which will be explained in-depth in my next post).  

After that, Saturday HAD TO jump off. I definitely wanted to enjoy myself this night.

Me and my comrade, hit Club Heaven n Hell  up in Adams Morgan. Heaven and Hell is normally my last resort, simply because it’s free until 11…never really a line until after 12, the drinks are strong and cheap, and the music is decent. The place is definitely a hole in the wall. Three levels, top: house/pop, mid-level : mainstream, and Bottom: Rap/Hip Hop/Go-Go. It was a mixed crowd that night but I really did ENJOY myself. I kept to my plan of afterwards going to The Diner and having breakfast which was awesome. Their prices are affordable and we had a great seat by the window near the front and got to “people-watch” and boy oh boy, the things people do in the wee 2-3am hours in the morning in the district LOL.

At the end of if, I definitely enjoyed my brief party girl weekend. Now, I’m focusing on ME…..as I said above, during that Friday and every day since I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, and have made a very big change in my life  that I felt God wanted me to do.
