Morning Prayer....06.08.2012

The Only Person I'm Better Than, Is The Person I Was Yesterday........

Hope for the Broken Hearted posted this prayer yesterday morning and I saw it before I went to bed. I prayed this prayer before I drifted off to sleep, woke up in the middle of the night and read a disturbing but reaffirming email, prayed the exact prayer again and woke up this morning to JOY. I may not be where most would hope I'd be after 4 years of single living, but God is working in me. I'm learning to put myself first, know my worth, be forgiving, and also not be so hard pressed to understand what God is doing in my life but trusting him and only him.

I'm living my life to the fullest extent possible starting today. No one is going to take my Joy away again.

I have my HOPE.

I have my FAITH.

and most importantly, I Have GOD.

With these tools, I know I will be successful and live a life pleasing to God. 

Here's the Prayer.....Happy Friday!

Dear Lord,
As we come together we don't want anything to hinder our prayers from being answered. We ask that you would reveal to us any unforgiveness that is in our hearts or any sin that is unconfessed. Help us to let go of all of the wrongs that have been done to us so that we can be free and not tied to those things any longer. 

Help heal our hurts and wounds Lord. So many have been hurt by words or deeds or injustices perpetrated against them. Sometimes it's hard to understand how some things can be so blatantly wrong, and yet people get away with such injustices. Lord, we ask for favor for your children. I know that sometimes things are happening behind the scenes that we can't see. We think of Joseph and all he went through being sold into slavery and unjustly accused of crimes and thrown in prison...but yet you had a plan for redemption not just for him but for millions through him. For each one praying we ask that they will find that place of peace that knows you have everything under control. Nothing surprises you or takes you off guard and we thank you for that Lord. 

Father God, please work on behalf of your children. Help us to realize that if we are seeking your will, but surrounded by adversity, you are still working on our behalf and help us to make the most of where we are at. Help us to grow our faith. Help us to trust when the world says we're crazy to. Help us to not seek vengeance, but to know that no one will escape your judgement. Help us to rest knowing that we can let go of those who do wrong, because you are righteousness and you see and know all. 

Go before us today Lord. Renew a right spirit within us. Complete the work you are doing in us Lord.
