Ladies Night: "Waiting To Exhale" Part 1 06.22.12

This past weekend was my 1st annual "Waiting to Exhale" Evening. The Ladies and myself embarked out in the rainy DMV nightlife and headed to a spot I frequently visited a few years ago named Ozio, A quiet little known spot in NW that is definitely a place I would recommend to anybody looking for a good time without spending alot of funds. Updated with a rooftop, Hookah, 4 levels and a larger dance floor I Loved It & Me and My Girls will head out there more frequently.

As a Young Woman becoming a more "Seasoned" WOMAN I felt it was definitely necessary with all that's going on in my life to take a night out of the crazy drama filled week and focus on my star player, treat myself to a drink, relax and most importantly VENT with people I can trust and care about.

We had such a great time. I got home pushing 5am (the benefits of the single life) with nothing on my mind but positive vibes, a changed outlook, and more importantly a closer bond with my bestie.

As I stated yesterday,
It's not about what's going on around you that define's you but how you respond to it.

Right now I'm in "The Pressing Place" I got so many obstacles in my face BUT I'm not gonna let that consume me anymore, I'm pushing forward knowing that God Got Me.

I'll do what I can and I'll let God do the rest.

Positive Thinking even in the midst of trouble may not be your first choice, but it's your best choice when things get tough and you don't know what to do. Besides praying and trusting God to fight the battle for you, I KNOW positive thinking should be your first course of action.

Waiting to Exhale on Friday opened my eyes to the problems of yesterday being the blessings of today. I'm no longer "woe is me" I'm victorious and I want my girls to be the same way. Life Is F*cked Up! But We in this world, Not of It. We emptied our heavy hearts and laid down our burden's and most importantly embraced, encouraged, and uplifted one another. How many people do you have in your life that earnestly do that nowadays??? Don't worry I'll Wait...

With the pressure of everyday life, you need a moment weather your a man or woman to relax, relate, release (S/O to A Different World) I'm so glad I got to share in it with my ladies.
