Change is Coming.....

One week is in the books, I’m happy to say I did something I
thought was impossible.
It’s not just the “not talking/dealing” with anybody other
than family thing, it’s the four points I referenced last week in I
Love You...But I Love Myself MORE! Worry, Trust, Forgiveness, and Anger.
Changing yourself is extremely hard, especially when the notion
to do so seems to come from nowhere.
So what do you do when you need help or a point in the right
direction, aside from praying?
I love to read, so I decided to go out this weekend and pick
up some good reading material:
The 1st book I got was: Do
yourself a favor and forgive by Joyce Meyers
You can read an excerpt HERE
I really enjoy Joyce, so I’m also including a few video’s
that have helped me of hers.
Video: The
Forgiveness Test
Video: Do
Yourself a Favor…Forgive
Video: How
to De-Stress Your Life
The 2nd book
I got was: The
Secret to True Happiness
The 3rd book I got was: Look Great Feel
Great 12 Keys to Enjoying a Healthy Life Now
I also plan to pick-up Let
It Go by my Bishop, T.D. Jakes, but thought Joyce’s book was a good way to
start as it’s written from a woman’s point of view.
There’s also
Mrs.
Right: A woman's guide to becoming and remaining a wife by Tony A Gaskins
Jr.
The
Little Black Book of Success: Laws of Leadership for Black Women by Elaine
Meryl Brown, Marsha Haygood, Rhonda Joy McLean, Angela Burt-Murray
Sistergirl
Devotions: Keeping Jesus in the Mix on the Job by Carol M. Mackey
In
the Meantime: Finding Yourself and the Love You Want by Iyanla Vanzant
Peace
from Broken Pieces: How to Get Through What You're Going Through by Iyanla
Vanzant
The
Resolution for Women by Priscilla Shirer, Stephen Kendrick, Alex Kendrick
I must say that none of these books are going to be the end
all be all in helping me move on with my life. There’s only one way to truly overcome
my past, change my thinking, and purge my mind- that’s allowing God to drive my
life. these are only to give me motivation, ideas, and a different perspective on certain things.
