Justice Rally for Trayvon Martin @ Freedom Plaza (RECAP) 3.24.12 #DMV
Despite the rain and cooler temperatures, thousands took to the streets of Washington D.C. this past Saturday in support of Justice for Trayvon Martin. Due to my employment situation I was unable to attend this movement, but I did take in the twitter and facebook feeds of many whom did make it and was taken aback- in the most positive way ever.
In a city known for division, it was heartwarming to see so many people come out in the rain, in their hoodies and with signs of support to band together for justice.
As I've said before, I will not be posting anything other than news about Trayvon's case until justice is served. Many media outlets, individual commentators, and the general public aren't seeing why a situation has grown to this level. I feel it's my as a blogger to show exactly why not only should African Americans should take part in this but all human's should.
