Don't Believe the HYPE!!! (Earrings Edition)
Did you miss me???? i know i know.
I wanted to take a break and briefly post on a disturbing trend I'm noticing that's gotten quite out of hand.
Many people watch the reality show "Basketball Wives" (I'm not one of those people) where one of the characters Evelyn Lozada has sparked a *NEW* trend with her infamous 'Butterfly' and 'Poparazzi Earrings' as pictured below:
I'm not going to front the last pictured earrings are HOT, unfortunately they are EXPENSIVE AS HELL!!! prices are out of hand and who knows exactly what the quality of these earrings are! are they lead-free? titanium? silver-coated? OK for sensative ears??

There are now copy-cat "self-professed' Accessories websites/ creators that offer these same earrings for prices running from $12.00- $65.00, the quality looks to be the same but as we all know pictures tell lies.
it's all in an effort to capitalize off of a trend that many women are following. please don't waste your money on this foolishness ladies. be a savy frugle shopper and do this YOURSELF. it's really quite easy.
you can cop a pair of classic stainless steel or 'sensative ear' hoops from Claires or any other source for less than $10.00 (you know claires loves their buy 2 get 1 free); a quick trip to Michael's Arts & Craft stores and a little time to be creative and you can make these earrings yourself!!! for less than 20.00 depending on how you want them to look, and then to top it off you can use the same pair of earrings to create a brand new pair everyday! how smart is that?
DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE ladies, if you can afford to buy these earrings from Evelyn or any of the secondary websites feel free....but don't say i didn't tell you anything =)
